CAN I GET PREGNANT AFTER A TUMMY TUCK

Hello and welcome to my Blog...

I am Dr. Rafi S. Bidros, a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon. My practice is located at Town and Country Plastic Surgery near Memorial City and City Centre in Houston and I specialize in Aesthetic and Reconstructive Surgery of the Breast, Body and Face. The reason I'm starting this blog is to address common questions which I face on a daily basis in my practice. This may help people relate to a concern of their own, or bring to light an issue they’ve always wondered about. I will also try to share some interesting experiences that I've had during my typical day as a Plastic Surgeon.

Question: CAN I GET PREGNANT AFTER A TUMMY TUCK?

Yes, although not ideal...Most women elect to undergo a tummy tuck after they've finished having children...Life plans do change, however.

I have a patient who is currently pregnant after she had a tummy tuck 5 years prior. Her baby is healthy at 7 months...but she looks like she is about 4 months pregnant. That's one example!

Will she need another tummy tuck? Less likely.

So, how do you decide??? This is why it’s important to have a thorough discussion with your surgeon, who will help you come to a conclusion.
