Considering plastic surgery is justifiably a difficult circumstance. You have concerns about the way you look, and therefore, the way you feel. And now, you have finally decided to do something about it. The next important decision is choosing a Plastic Surgeon that will help you achieve those goals. You want to choose a qualified and a skilled surgeon, but yet you also want someone who is personable and will make you feel at ease in this vulnerable situation. That is why I would like to tell you about myself, my education, medical training, and my practice philosophy.

After obtaining High Honors at the University of Louisiana, I began my medical education at the Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans.

During those four years, I was drawn to the wonderful art of Surgery. I then completed five years of training in General Surgery at Charity Hospital and its affiliates throughout the state of Louisiana. Those years provided me with knowledge and skills to deal with very ill patients and highly acute emergencies. I am fully trained to deal with traumatic injuries, breast, skin and abdominal cancer, vascular and cardiac disorders, and intensive care. This is very important, as you want your surgeon to be competent to deal with most emergencies, in the rare event they may arise.

Subsequently, I received my Board Certification in Surgery, attaining the top 2% score among surgeons in the nation. I then completed my specialty training in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at The Medical Center in Houston, Texas. There, I trained under the top professors in the field at St. Joseph, The Methodist, and Memorial Hermann hospitals. My training concentrated on Cosmetic Surgery, Breast Reconstruction, and Post Bariatric Body Contouring. I am well trained in the latest techniques as well as the time-tested ones.

I have conducted research and published several articles in the medical literature. I have presented to and educated fellow and peer surgeons around the country. I am always regarded by my mentors as being an exceptional surgeon. And most importantly, my patients consider me an excellent and caring physician.

My practice philosophy is to help my patients achieve their goals. If I can’t do it, I will try to find someone who could. If a procedure is too risky, we will find an alternative. My patient coordinators and I will take the necessary time to educate you on the specific procedures, and inform you of your options. We want you to have a positive and a safe experience. When you are ready, schedule an appointment to see me and we will discuss your concerns.
